Yesterday we had another amazing training day at Maranatha. We had a good turnout and great participation. I opened up with some of Hannah, Andrew, and Dillon’s stories. This can definitely be the hard part, but it really shifts everyone’s focus to the significance of what we are all gathering to do. After me, the girls from the MBU School of Nursing took over. Their obvious enthusiasm and love for teaching really makes their training enjoyable. They do a much better job at speaking than I do, and we are really thankful for their involvement and support.
While on our way home, we received a text from one of the ladies who helped do the training. She was already at the ER with a friend who just called moments after we said goodbye. Apparently, this friend stopped at a local coffee shop in town, ordered a flavored coffee, and had an anaphylactic reaction to the corn syrup that was used in the flavoring. The reaction was quickly treated at the hospital, and her friend is ok.
We are very thankful to hear that this anaphylactic reaction was resolved quickly. We are thankful for everyone who comes out to these training events. We are thankful for everyone who supports us. AND we are very thankful for the help of the girls from the Junior Class of the MBU School of Nursing: Kylie, Lynnzie, Chloe, Cameron, Sarah, and Elizabeth!!

We are blessed!
