Daisy Award and YouTube

We begin this new week with a few updates:

1. As we posted the other day, we are attempting to move everyone to another Facebook page. This is due to limitations on the first one from the way that we originally set it up. Since we didn’t know how any of this would go, the first profile/page wasn’t set up in a way that allowed us enough opportunity to grow like it has. We appreciate everyone who has shown our family and this page so much love over the past several months. If you would be kind enough to click the link: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61572790105576 then click on follow and “like”, that would be “amazing”! For all the endless possibilities of social media, there are even more endless frustrations!

2. We nominated four of our primary, amazing nurses for the “Daisy Award” for their amazing care, love, and support for us and Hannah. For more on this award, here is a link: https://www.daisyfoundation.org/about-daisy-award  Their nominations were accepted, and they each received a pin as nominees. We are unsure of the timing, but at some point, one nominee from among all those nominated throughout the hospital system will be selected as the Daisy Award Winner. We are hoping that it is one of our nurses, but we do understand that there are certainly many exceptional nurses in their organization. We are very happy that they were at least recognized and pinned for the time that they spent with us.

3. Over the past several weeks, we’ve been trying to begin a YouTube channel for this page. We are trying to broaden our outreach as we move forward. Throughout the multiple attempts to create the first video, I am reminded that public speaking is definitely not one of my strengths. In fact, I write so that I don’t have to speak! Maybe like the Wizard of Oz, I am best left behind the curtain. But, although the ideas and feelings are those of my wife and myself, I am the one primarily writing. This seems to leave us with the feeling that I need to be the primary spokesman in the videos as well. After days of struggling with trying to make it “good,” we have settled on a recording that we at least don’t hate. We pray that the content of these posts and videos overshadows “us” because, although we are affected, we aren’t intended to be the object of any of this. Yes, we are involved, but if the names were removed, the feelings, thoughts, burdens, struggles, etc. would remain fairly universal. Please bear with us as we try to grow through this whole experience and seek to take Hannah’s from its humble beginnings to wherever it may be needed. Hopefully we will improve along the way. Here is the link to the “Hannah Helps” YouTube channel: https://youtu.be/xwgmWaY_-cc  please hit the subscribe, like (Thumbs up), or any other positive buttons that you find on the video and please pray for us! A donate link is added near the top, in the Hannah Helps YouTube Channel description if anyone would like to donate through PayPal to help us improve and spread Hannah’s story. Thank you all sooooo much! We are blessed
