Merry Christmas Eve to everyone! We are excited today to be able to announce something special in honor of Hannah. Several people have contacted us about donating money to help other college students get through college in Hannah’s name. Maranatha is setting up a “Hannah Glass Scholarship Fund”. It is intended to help those who are in need of financial assistance while working their way through college. It will primarily be targeting those who: 1. have demonstrated a good work ethic as they work to pay for their own education, and 2. have demonstrated a life of love and service for the Lord that is evident both in their home church and at college. We would like to be able to help those who, like Hannah, have been actively working and saving for their education, serving the Lord wherever He has placed them, and demonstrate a reasonable commitment to their education by maintaining at lease a 3.0 in their studies. This will prioritize young women, as it can be difficult for them to find a reasonably wholesome and safe environment in which to work, but it’s not female exclusive. We intend this to help those who are in the most need and demonstrate these qualities. From there you can choose the amount, frequency, and means by which you intend to give. Then in the “designation box” you can select Scholarship Fund. Under the “designation box” is the “memo box”. Please mark your gift for the “Hannah Glass Scholarship Fund”, and they will see to it that your gift is properly applied. Both we and Maranatha would like to memorialize Hannah, at the college, for her unmistakable character qualities of hard work, responsibility, determination, a focus on education, and a love for the Lord and others.
